Students aiming for careers in government, and non-governmental commercial or non-profit sectors and interested that deal with matters related to national, international, and global security will gain preparation for work in interdisciplinary settings on issues related to prevention, conduct, and ameliorating effects of conflicts and potential conflicts in arenas involving conventional or unconventional weapons, environment stresses, natural disasters and disease, or interactions thereof. Relevant topical areas include human security, environmental and resource security, and comparative politics and security. Students in this track are interested in careers in political science, environmental science, policy analysis, diplomacy, intelligence, humanitarian aid, post-secondary and international education, and international affairs.
