The 6th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society (ILLS16) will be held from March 1 to 2, 2024 at the I Hotel & Illinois Conference Center (1900 S 1st St, Champaign, IL 61820). All U of I students who are interested in linguistics are welcome to attend. ILLS is an annual graduate student-run linguistics conference aimed primarily at providing graduate and advanced undergraduate students a friendly venue in which to present and discuss research on any topic related to language and linguistics.
The conference theme for ILLS16 is “Language, Mind, and Society.” ILLS holds that an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and a collaborative approach to language from a multitude of avenues is fundamental to the advancement of language research and the subsequent understanding of our world, cultures, and societies.
