CGS seeks to hire a Digital Media and Communication Intern
(Ideal for students interested in marketing, social media, or global engagement)
Start Date: Spring semester, 2026; ASAP.
About the Role: Are you creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about connecting with others? Join our team as a Digital Media & Communications Intern! You’ll help design and run engaging social media campaigns that showcase campus events, student stories, and global opportunities. This is a great chance to build your portfolio and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications.
Job Description: The Center for Global Studies is seeking a student worker for clerical support. Duties include:
- Assist with and develop CGS’ social media presence: LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Assist with updates and development of the CGS website.
- Assist in designing, creating, and editing CGS flyers and promotional materials.
- Assist with scheduling, coordination, and promotion of CGS events and activities.
- Assist in compiling materials for and editing the Center’s eWeekly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with social media trends and tools (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn In-Design, Canva, or one of graphic design software options available on campus.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Webtools.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Drupal, a webpage design software.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and personable.
- Good judgment and solid decision-making skills.
- Creative mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- An interest in international affairs and global studies is a plus!
