Summer 2020 Virtual Workshop: K-14 Education during COVID-19 in the U.S. and Abroad
The Illinois Global Institute area studies centers at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign invite K-12 and community college educators and librarians to take part in a 2-day, 6-hour online professional development workshop: K-14 Education during COVID-19 in the U.S. and Abroad.
The workshop will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29 from 1-4pm CDT. There is no cost to attend the workshop, but registration is required. Registrants will be sent the workshop Zoom link on Monday, July 27. Illinois K-12 educators are eligible to receive up to 6 ISBE Professional Development Hours (PDH). All participants will receive a certificate of completion.
The sessions will be presented by experienced K-12 teachers and University of Illinois faculty, and the topics will include online education methods and platforms; technology-enhanced language teaching; the impact of COVID-19 on education; online resources; and international approaches to education during the pandemic.
