The Global Policy Forum Certificate of Participation recognizes students' participation in professional enrichment and skill-development opportunities associated with the CGS Global Policy Forum. Students earn recognition by completing three approved professional-development workshops and participating in the Global Policy Forum. The certificate is a non-credit recognition of participation and skill development and does not constitute an academic or professional certification.
This certificate represents active engagement in skill-based professional development. Students will have proof of completion in not just the forum, but several workshops geared toward experiential learning, collaboration, and professional development.
Requirements
- Complete three approved professional-development workshops; AND
- Participate and attend in the one-day Global Policy Forum [Forum Date TBD]
Workshop Eligibility
All CGS pre-approved workshops automatically meet certificate eligibility criteria. Other UIUC-sponsored professional-development workshops can qualify with additional information for review and approval.
After attending each workshop, please complete and submit the Workshop Verification Form. This form will confirm your attendance and track your progress throughout the semester. The workshop verification form below must be printed and physically signatured by the hosting department and/or its staff. Complete one form per workshop, then upload to submit below. Forms can be emailed as well, use the subject line "2027 Global Policy Forum - Workshop Verification Form."

Pre-certification
To receive a printed certificate at the event, students must complete and verify all three required workshops [10 Business Days Before The Forum]. Certificates are printed exclusively for students who complete pre-certification.
Award
Pre-certified students who participate in the Forum receive their physical certificate at the Forum. Digital recognition may also be provided pending discussion with ATLAS/Accredible.
