Biography
Dr. Ruijie Zhao, Professor of English, teaches English and humanities classes at Parkland College. Integrating technology into classroom teaching has been a longstanding interest of hers. For the HUM 103 (Cultural Values of the Eastern World) she teaches, she has been exploring effective strategies and authentic materials to help students understand East Asia.
Research Description
For the 2023 ISRL, Dr. Zhao will be redesigning the syllabus for her HUM 103 course to identify materials to incorporate into the curriculum to give students a more insightful understanding of East Asian cultures.
