Biography
Jayanti Tamm is an Associate Professor of English at Ocean County College. The author of the critically acclaimed memoir, Cartwheels in a Sari: A Memoir of Growing Up Cult (Crown, 2010), Tamm teaches creative writing and literature. In 2023 she was awarded a three-year tenure as a Fulbright Specialist.
Research Description
For the 2023 ISRL, she will be researching materials to globalize an existing course on Women in Literature in regions such as Ancient Sumer, Greece, and Japan.
