Biography
Amanda Chin is a reference and instruction librarian at Green River College. She earned her MLIS from the University of Washington, with a scholarly focus on information literacy, critical pedagogy, migration and information behavior, and immigrant experiences with libraries. Prior to transitioning into librarianship, Amanda was an international and immigrant English instructor, having earned her MA in second language studies from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. She has taught in a variety
of contexts in the States and Japan.
Research Description
For the 2022 ISRL, Amanda Chin will create a plan for collection development of international materials at Green River Community College's library with her colleague Julie Moore.
