To draw attention to areas of strength and excellence at Illinois, the Center for Global Studies organizes global issues research, teaching and outreach into Research Clusters that bridge disciplines, regions, and professions, and support cutting-edge innovations in teaching and conceptualizing global studies.

The Language and Culture research cluster includes courses, assessments, scholarship support, conferences, and outreach programs for Less Commonly Taught Languages and humanities and cultural initiatives.
