Research Clusters
The Center for Global Studies promotes and supports innovative research to better understand the global issues confronting the world’s populations, and facilitate deep understanding of the values, thinking, practices, and aspirations of the world’s diverse cultures. Exploration of these issues form the backdrop to all other CGS activities.
To draw attention to areas of strength and excellence at Illinois, CGS organizes global issues research, teaching and outreach into Research Clusters that bridge disciplines, regions, and professions, and support cutting-edge innovations in teaching and conceptualizing global studies.
The links below include courses taught at Illinois with CGS support, faculty affiliated with the Center because of their research interests, related CGS publications and multimedia resources, and organizations that support global studies research in that area.
