Elizabeth Bastian is a second year Master’s in Urban Planning student, focusing on transportation and land use policy and international planning. Her capstone project focuses on creating an open-source web map that intersects surface temperature and social vulnerability to discover areas susceptible to extreme heat events. With a background in both urban studies and anthropology, she hopes to use Arabic to work in the creation and maintenance of international transportation policy and general international relations.
