The specialist session S03, "Bottoms-up dynamics in early modern urban politics" at the 10th International Conference on Urban History in Ghent, Belgium is calling for papers focusing on daily practices of influencing the political agenda by broad layers of urban society, such as the administrative tasks carried out by corporations, neighborhoods and parishes; petitioning, local press, pamphlets, direct and daily contact with representatives of the urban government, etc.
