Uriel Kitron is Co-Director for Zoonoses Research. His teaching interests at UIUC center around the eco-epidemiology of infectious diseases. Kitron teaches a seminar course titled Epidemiology and the Media, wherein he discussed public,state, international health agencies and their communication with the media.
Noshir S. Contractor is a Professor of Speech Communication and Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where he teaches courses and doctoral seminars on organizational communication processes, communication network analysis, dynamic systems analysis, collaboration technologies, and quantitative research methods. His research interests include applications of systems theory to communication, the role of emergent communication and knowledge networks in organizations, and collaboration technologies in the work place.

Fazal Rizvi is a professor of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He teaches a number of courses on global education and his research interests include: Comparative and International education; higher education and policy in the Asia-Pacific; cultural globalization and education policy; postcolonial theories of identity, representation and education; and global inequalities and educational policy. Rizvi is also Director or new (already highly succesful) Masters of Education in Global Studies Program, an online degree program that prepares K-12 instructors to incorporate global perspectives into their existing curricula and padagogies.
To draw attention to areas of strength and excellence at Illinois, the Center for Global Studies organizes global issues research, teaching and outreach into Research Clusters that bridge disciplines, regions, and professions, and support cutting-edge innovations in teaching and conceptualizing global studies.
